Tips

• The transition from NICU to home is emotional - it is normal to feel both excited and terrified at the same time.
• You can call the NICU nurses after discharge. They want to hear from you and are happy to answer questions.
• Use your baby's adjusted age (not birth age) for developmental milestones. Your pediatrician can explain what to expect.
